FiberCheap ST ST Fiber Patch Cord Multimode OM2 duplex connects your fiber optic equipment easily, Low IL 0.2dB and High RL 55dB for UPC and 60dB for APC.
- This ST ST Fiber Patch Cord has an orange color jacket with a 3.00 mm diameter. OM2 cables have a 500 MHz-km bandwidth and a 2.3dB/km maximum attenuation at 850 nm light sources and a 500 MHz-km bandwidth and a 0.6dB/km maximum attenuation at a 1300 nm wavelength.
- OM2 patch cords are suitable for backbone, riser and horizontal configurations.

Is multimode fiber full duplex?

Is single mode faster than multimode?
Compared to the multimode fiber, the single mode patch cords carry a higher bandwidth, but it requires a light source with a narrow spectral width. The single mode gives a higher transmission and up to 50 times more distance than the multimode. The core from a single mode cable is smaller than one from a multimode.
